You do not allow yourself to wallow in pain and pity, or to make comparisons to better times, which is usually what triggers most of the pain. Comparisons always highlights the deficits in these situations. This then makes you reject yourself, which brings frustrations and pain. You will thus be left to think of ways of making it better, since there are no negative feelings left. The best way to deal with a situation has often been seen as starting once you accept it. You shall not see the same level of success by following any other route.

You will not gain anything positive of all you do is think of the negatives you are experiencing. It in fact usually leads to an even worse outcome. The cycle can keep going on till you can no longer help it. The way we think matters a lot to the way we live. What you choose to focus on in every situation determines what direction your life shall take from that point.

To help you overcome any adversity, it is best to focus on all efforts to get better. At the same time, you need to keep positive thoughts and kind thoughts. You can even go out of your mind and think of positives form other areas. You can, for example, think of your loved ones and how lucky you are to have them in your life. There shall be a reaction in your body that shall introduce healing properties into it. You thus need to remain mindful of the type and quality of your thoughts as you aim to get better at it. Dopamine and oxytocin are chemicals that get released when your mind is flooded with positive thoughts. Your body will stay calm and get to healing.

Once you have studied mindfulness, you shall develop the right mindset and tricks to bring your mind to a place of calm and focus. There may be the learning of chants as a way of bringing your mind to a state of peace whenever agitated.
There is an acceptance of yourself as you are, which then leads to the discovery of better ways of handling whatever happens in your life. Positive outlooks are the best way to end up in a more peaceful and better place.
